We are the STEM Spark Initiative
The Stem Spark Initiative is a youth-led nonprofit created by students, for students. We are committed to making STEM opportunities more accessible and inspiring young learners to explore their passions in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
Through community events, fundraisers, and donations, we support schools that lack the resources for robust STEM programs. Our goal is to spark curiosity, empower creativity, and prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in the future.

Our Story
This organization began with a shared realization between two friends, Tara and Kristen. While exploring our own interests in STEM, we noticed that not every student had the same chance to access resources, programs, or encouragement. Many students who were just as capable simply didn’t have the same opportunities to discover what STEM could mean for them.
That gap inspired us to take action. Together, we set out to create a space where all students could explore STEM through hands-on learning, mentorship, and community support. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the tools and encouragement to grow their confidence, pursue their interests, and see themselves as future leaders in STEM.
Though our journey is only beginning, our mission is clear: to expand opportunities, build equity, and inspire the next generation of innovators.
